First Moot Court Competition on Refugee Issue in Bangladesh
Staff Reporter :: The First Moot Court Competition on Refugee Issue in Bangladesh is going to be held at National Planning Academy, Kataban, Dhaka on 28-29 December 2012 with the participation of 10 universities, private and public, of Bangladesh conducted by law research institution Empowerment through Law of the Common People (ELCOP). ELCOP is dominantly administered and managed by law teachers and students of different law schools of Bangladesh. It also involves those legal experts who are concerned, committed and competent enough to deal with human rights and empowerment issues. The main objective of ELCOP is to provide people with specific legal information, making them conscious of their rights and duties. These 10 universities are Dhaka University, Chittagong University, Rajshahi University, Jogonnath University, Northern University, Southwest University, BRAC University, Stamford University, Eastern University and Daffodil University. The competition will be inaugurated by Professor Dr. Shah Alam, Chairman, the Law Commission of Bangladesh.
