Study Sharing Program about Same Sexual Activities Amongst Males in Bangladesh
NGO News Report :: Bandhu Social Welfare Society (BSWS) is going to organize program about the sharing of draft findings session of the study “Early Debut of Same Sexual Activities Amongst Males in Bangladesh”. This program will be at IDB Bhaban, Meeting Room – 1, Level – 3, Agargaon on 4 February, 2013 at 9:30 am.
Prof. Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Chairman, National Human Rights Commission will attend the event as Chief Guest. The Chairman of the National Law Commission, Prof. M. Shah Alam will preside over the event. Dr. Tasnim Azim, Director, Center for HIV & AIDS, icddr,b , Mr. Leo Kenny, Country Coordinator, UNAIDS and Ms. Rina Roy, Director – Rights, Manusher Jonno Foundation will attend as Special Guests.
Integrated Development Organisation (IDO) is a local NGO. It was established in August, 1993 with the initiation of a group of educated like minded social workers with an aim to promote the socio-economic and cultural status of the rural poor and vulnerable people, emphasising the women and children through conscientization, capacity building, institution building, capital formation, and imparting felt-need based problem solving programs by adopting modern scientific technologies.
IDO believes in non-directive, bottom up, participatory and integrated development frameworks and acts as a catalyst with its beneficiaries.
Men, women and children of the poor and poorest families of both rural and the
urban areas are the target peoples of the organisation. Women, children, disabled and aborigines are given special emphasises in selecting as beneficiaries as they are most disadvantaged group in the society and very much backward compared to the male.
