Sustainable Innovation Forum 2013

climate action NGO News Desk :: Climate Action, the organisers of the Sustainable Innovation Forum which took place in Doha on the 6th December, in partnership with UNEP, would like to thank all those that attended and contributed to what was certainly an engaging and stimulating forum and debate.

Special thanks also to our Sponsors and Partners, led by Platinum Sponsor – OSRAM and additionally including New Holland Agriculture, SAES, the Yasuní-ITT initiative, Siemens, Hisense and the Republic of Chad.

Over 400 delegates from business, governments and international NGOs including Achim Steiner, UNEP Executive Director, attended on the day, with a session from the forum webcast internationally to a global audience.

“Out of all of the events during the COP the Sustainable Innovation Forum stood out as being the most positive and action oriented. It was great to hear from businesses and local governments that are simply getting on with the job of decarbonising despite the current lack of shared political will on climate change”.

Jane Burston
Head, Centre for Carbon Measurement

A gallery of images from the forum is now available at www.cop18qatar.com and the forum video which encapsulates the various debates and speeches, will be available on the site from Monday morning.
