Nurul Alam Shaheen :: The seventh (7th) Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) Foundation was held at the conference room of SME Foundation in the city today (Monday).
Industries Minister and Chairperson of SME Foundation Dilip Borua presided over the meeting. Mohammad Md. Mujibur Rahman, acting managing director of SME Foundation, presented the annual report of the foundation. The AGM approved the Board of Director’s report, proposals along with the SMEF audit report of 2011-2012.
Mr. Dilip Borua said, the Foundation has successfully organised a number of programmes to promote SMEs across the country. The present government has given the highest importance in this sector and has created a favourable field for the SME entrepreneurs throughout the country.
The minister also urged all concerned to gear up SME development programes along with the SME Foundation.
All members of the general body of the foundation, representing different trade bodies, associations, government organisations, and educational institutes were present at the AGM.
